Dear Colleague,
The Diploma in Logistics Management was previously brought to you by Lloyd’s Maritime Academy a sister brand to IBC Global Academy. Though the branding has changed, this event is still produced by the same team, so you can expect the same high standards and professionalism in both course content and delivery.
Managing the flow of materials across the whole supply chain, from source through industrial processing to the customer and onto final disposal or recycling, logistics is now recognised as a goals-critical function for most organisations. Charged with streamlining the many and complex activities that provide organisations with the essential materials and services to accomplish their missions, today’s logistics managers operate in a demanding environment, frequently controlling material flows moving in multiple directions across many countries and regions.
Logistics managers must know how to balance cost, effectiveness and risk to fulfil the demands of their organisation’s supply chain and deliver the required customer service levels. All of this takes place against the backdrop of the larger economic and social forces shaping consumption, production and distribution trends across the globe.
This distance learning course has been designed to provide a thorough grounding in the major disciplines of logistics management. It is delivered through a proven flexible method with extensive student support. Topics covered include analysis of the major forces shaping modern supply chain planning and operations, through to a detailed understanding of key functions such as logistics outsourcing, financial control, contract management and information technology.
This Diploma in Logistics Management course brings together some of the foremost practitioners, leading universities and business schools and is recognised by The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) UK for CPD and leads to an award that can provide onward credit towards a Master’s degree. Successful completion of the course may also provide exemptions to the Chartered Institute of Shipbrokers Introduction to Shipping and Logistics and Multi-modal Transport examinations.
We are confident you will find that this unique Diploma provides you with a level of knowledge and skill that will benefit you and your employer. We look forward to receiving your application to enrol.
